Exclusionary Criteria

Contributions will not be provided to or in support of any of the following activities:

as an incentive or reward for past, current or potential prescribing, purchasing, use, recommending for use, formulary status, or dispensing of AstraZeneca products;
to help offset a customer’s cost of purchasing or reimbursing AstraZeneca products;
to individual Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), medical group practice, Public Officials, or any individual, or to a bank account in the name of an individual;
to capital projects or building appeals (unless part of a wider healthcare or science education capacity-building project to support vulnerable communities);
to organisations that discriminate on the basis of age, race, colour, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, military service, veteran status, disability or other unlawful basis;
to religious or faith-based organisations or programs, missionary groups, or projects serving religious purposes with the exception of memorial contributions or projects that are open to the general public, such as soup kitchens or shelters;
for programming or editorial content containing gratuitous violence or sexually explicit material or any activity that does not reflect the values and/or mission of AstraZeneca;
for debt/deficit reduction;
for military purposes;
for beauty or talent contests;
for advocacy or lobbying by the recipient organisation for narrow or specific interests;
for those submitted by contractors or third party fundraisers;
for individual persons or families;
for organizations operating outside of Canada and the United States or for whose beneficiaries are outside of Canada and the United States;
for organizations already receiving funding from the United Way.
